1. There isn't one yet.
2. Judging by your posts I doubt you could even write a simple text demo for the NDS let alone a web browser. So that is out of the question.

I'm almost sure someone is making one, though actually running homebrew on the NDS is not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach.
Check out the gbadev.org forums if you really want to see how to do this.

PS There is an edit button, you know.

they're having trouble figuring out the wireless, to the point where there is a bounty on it:

so the answer is no, even if there were a browser with linux, it would be somewhat worthless given the wifi situation. Though the wifi *seems* to be on its way to being cracked.

however, for very little effort, you can just buy yourself a pretty psp and browse on that  . Or heck, a $600 PPC. Both are much easier and cheaper than trying to pay somebody to get your DS online. I also don't think you know what a webpage would look like on a DS...it would not be pretty...

This is where PSP one-ups the DS. Nintendo really ought to make it, and release it in cartridge form, people would go nuts I tell ya!

think about how large the font needs to be, to be viewable on one of those screens. and then think of an average webpage, we'll say benheck.com's main page. how would that view? you'd get the pleasure of scrolling both frames in both directions to view anything. The first post in the news section would be about 10 pages long depending on how eye-straining they made the font. and how would that work out with the bars on the sides?

ewwww.

(but it will be done, it just won't be the best)

You are 100% right. I completely forgot how small the screen is (not owning one and all). So scratch what I said earlier, it would not work at all.

well, you houldnt NEED the bars on the side, you could use the Dpad for scrolling. Also, you could have the stylus act like a magnifying glass, so the text would be readable.

Ever heard of sub-pixel text rendering? On the DS you can get a 9x8 letter into a 3x8 pixel space, because it takes advantage of each pixel being a seperate color stripe on the LCD.
Windows XP has thsi builtin, it's called ClearType.
