This is great. It's a group of people who compose original music on classic game consoles and computers. It's all quality work, and album art is avalible if you want to burn your own CDs (the tracks are listed by the album)

If you can't get the downloads from their main site to work, try <a href="http://ftp.scene.org/dir.php?dir=%2Fmus ... F">here</a>, where all the files went to. This link gives you access to file mirrors, so even if the FTP connection won't work, you can try an HTTP server.

I've already downloaded the Christmas album. (They put it all up for free, so the MP3s are legal. )

Woah, this stuff is great! In fact, it's given me an idea...

On my upcoming NESp, there is a lot of extra space in the Game Gear case. So I will build in a small store bought MP3 player. That way I can play this and other music whilst I play classic NES games
Music has always helped me play games better, so this has gotta happen!

Any cheap MP3 players anybody knows of?

Acctually, Nullsleep is part of the 8bitpeoples . He's a really cool guy to talk to, and he helped me find everything to play with LSDJ (the GameBoy synthesizer).

I have to say a z80 4 channel synthisiser is retro. I got to listen to the two first songs on the list that Bicostp linked to, not bad at all. I thought they'd be more like a band that uses old 8bit computers and periphiles (printers) to make music, but this is still cool.

Ive downloaded it all, by hand. It was a pain in the butt. Then I found things like flashget that will download everything on a page.... Good stuff.
Nullsleeps good. I also like tree wave, they're not bad also. (Also not part of 8 bit people.)
