Could we start a portable PC section on the website? There has been the MGDp, and now there would have to be more portable computer enthuisiests than ever before. I think its at least an idea :D

I think untill we see at least two really good projects come out (or two finished at all), we should leave 42 for that job....

ok thats fair... Its just slightly frustrating that so many posts about this topic are so easily pushed off the page. But then a statement like that sort of implies that there isn't enough CURRENT posters to warrant a slightly seperate arena....

mmmm interesting.

Eh, there isn't enough interest. The fact that we have 2 topics on arcades at once is completely coincidental, and there aren't many PCp/Neo Geo (a common request as well)/Arcade (which isn't even portablizing)

well, to appease the masses, perhaps there could be a Other Projects section that can handle non-portable but still electronics based projects. Things like building (game) controllers, amps, power supplys, guages, port replicators, faceplate controls, and things of the such.

Just an idea...

f42 is general chatter. for every serious post about consolde modification, theres 3 about how some kid dosent like his parents or teachers. i think a separate "other projects" forum would be useful. and also a "battery" forum.

That's more system specific, for power and stuff. If you want to know about the types, then a search would work.

As for F42, its usage kind of varies. Some say it's for chatter, some say for other projects. I say why not both? If new forums were made, it probably wouldn't be used all that much, since the interest isn't very high.

I like the sound of this. We could put in stuff like POV gadgets, custom controllers, PCPs, MAME cabinets, etc... and they wouldn't get pushed out of F42 by chatter. :)

And maybe we could stir up some interest in Port Washington and the Adventure series by making a "Movies" forum, for filmmaking discussion.

I think it is more appropriate now to be asking for a pcp forum, then it was a while ago, seeing as the sudden sparked interest with the gumstix.

A "movies" foruum wouldn't be that bad. I was thinking of making a movie about pogosticks and a rare fruit hat...

I agree, let's use the 42 right now until we see a couple of projects. In other words, hurry the hell up! :)
