Got crap on my screen that won't come off.

If you have problems getting to a bathroom, you should use the floor or a box, not a screen.

Use Goo-Gone or Desolve-it. They can take off anything. Now this crap you Refer to, is it on the LCD itself or the screen protector? If it's on the LCD you might not want to use anything other than water.

for the last couple of steps of working with my screen and other parts I've just been using isopropyl alcohol. If it's sticky the alcohol will eat through it pretty easily. It can even eat through paint, but it will take a while of soaking it

Well it seems everything I touch dies.

The crap isn't coming off.
I wiped the screen with acetone
How would I replace the glass infront of the LCD?
Is it even possible, or is it very hard.
Because I don't care enough to compromise the well-being of my screen.

Well if you used acetone on the screen, then you probably ruined it. What do you mean by the glass in front of the LCD? Is there a piece of glass protecting the LCD, or is it part of the actual LCD panel? If it's part of it, then you may want to start looking for a new screen.

I'm pretty sure it's a piece of glass covering it...1 second...

EDIT: The screen still works perfectly...

It might be the LCD, I'm not exactly sure...
It seems like theres a piece of glass on both sides of the LCD, so I'm assuming that it is a component of the LCD and cannot be removed.

If that's the case, I am NOT getting a new screen!

Would just adding more acetone to remove all of whatever is ontop of the glass work? I'm pretty sure its the anti glare coating. I could live with some glare.

Don't use acetone! It can very easily eat away and destroy almost all kinds of plastics. Use Goo-Gone next time, it's a citrus cleaner and will not harm plastics. Alcohol works ok sometimes, but if it doesn't come off chances are Goo-Gone will work.

Now, I am reallly confused. You have a glass screen cover? On both sides of the LCD?

Most LCD's just have a clear plastic screen cover above the LCD itself. BTW, what screen do you have?

1) Goo-gone didn't work.

2) And I'm pretty sure I'm talking about the actual LCD.

3) It's an interact PS1 screen.

When I put any sort of liquid on it, the crap dissappears.

So i've narrowed it down to this:

1) Scratches that I can buff out.

2) Glare screen has been partially eaten away...It'll just look like a dirty screen, no big deal. It's only my first portable right? Get all the mistakes out now, so I won't make them on bigger projects.
