My ps2 has been scratching disks, i am planning on buying some D-Skins to help, will it?

Dskins are ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!!! But... Im concerned about your PS2 How DOES it scratch the disk?? If the ps2 is scratching the disk, then thats a problem.... :?
