On my '95 SNES
Ok so I rewired the Game Port.
And a few other things, but I know those work (controller light was on. I might have fried that by accident though.)
I plugged it in to see if it would work.
And the controller port light filckered on and off rapidly, and some tiny sparks jumped on the game port connection on the motherboard.
I cleaned up the area wehre the sparks jumped, plugged it in, and nothing happened.
Have I FRIED my super nintendo? Or do I just have a bad connection somewhere? I know my game port is wired rather shantily, and several times a wire has broken loose.
But does the controller port rely on the Game port to run its light? Please help me!
GAH!!! HELP ME!!!

you may have connected ground to the 5 volts on the cartridge i'd reccomend taking ytou time next time. tin all of the wires and make solid connections. that way you wont have to worry about any wires coming loose
i guess you could check the 7805 to see if it is still outputting voltage that may be the problem
EDIT: sounds like you know this guy eh

I can see it now...$5000 for a SNESp, because I had to get so many!
Seriously though, a mini with some of the 95's parts would rock. Like the controller port that's seperate from the main board. Just plug it in when you want to do 2 player, and it doesn't make the case bigger.
Does anybody think it could be rescued?
I can get another one if I wanted to...$35
