GCp or GP2x
I recently got some money. Which do you think would be worthwhile? What software is already out for GP2x? Its just so very cool. If there is software, is it included, or do I have to download it? Where are there/ Will there be GP2x downloads?

ok here goes: yes there is software but you have to download it, if you get the gp2x before january it has a beta firmware and mostly alpha and beta games and emulaors and ported games. here is the list
emulators
snes/nes emu by NK, second release alpha stage, works
neogeoCD second release alpha version, by NK, only plays 2 games atm
waffle graphic novel emulator, dont know much about it by NK
ported games
quake
quake II
hexen
there are also a few homebrew games out. the 2x works very well and can also play .avi videos(divx and xvid) and MP3s and probably more in the future

Also, people make these emulators in their spare time. The system is so new, most developers haven't had a chance to get things going well anyway. In a couple months, however, things should be rolling pretty well, and in a year the system will be amazing. I would get one if you are interested in emulating (masturbating? that one never gets old
) the classic games. If you want newer games, I'd go with the GCp

It really depends on what you want. A GP2X you would use a lot, and would be kinda fun to show off since almsot nobody has one.
A GCp on the other hand, would be insanely cool to show off. But you wouldn't have it with you much due to the size (But then, you could always have a HUGE cargo pocket...). Not to forget, you still have to build the GCp after you get the parts. And there is no guarantee you would be able to finish it.
So it's really up to you. If it helps, write down the pros and cons before you decide, that always helps me when I am stuck on a decision. If it was me making the decision, the GP2X would be more fun.

It depends on your income. If you can make $180 fairly easily I would build a GCp. If you are poor as a dog than I would go with a GP2x. Atleast you can't blow a GP2x up... well atleast not easily...
A GCp will only set you back maby $100 if you play your cards right. Blockbuster is selling the ones they use for rent for around $40 to $50.
