Composite video works on one TV, but not another

Greetings,

I have done the Ben Heck composite mod, the one available here:

audio and video work great on my cheap TV/VCR combo unit, but I cannot get it to display on my big screen TV. I have played with the POTs on the mod, and it still won't work. My guess is that this video being output is slightly out of spec. Any idea as to what the cause would be and how I should go about resolving it? Is it under/over powered, or is some other part of the signal not quite to spec? Anyone else have this issue and any luck resolving it?

That mod is a bit outdated, and doesn't work on some screens. Try his newer one, found here: http://benheck.com/book/support/Atari2600VidMod.htm

Yep, that mod works on my Mitsubishi WS-55511. Now to remove the traces between the RF unit and the rest of the board... I think that unsoldering it in a few places is likely the easiest and safest method.
