mNESp questions

Post by xriverfalconx »

I am working on this for a buddy, but one thing I noticed is that this model is different from the one everyone else has been using. Can anyone point out what I am missing???

I turn it on and nothing comes up. The megajoy's cart slot had a stick in it...I'm assuming THAT is my rom? If so, can I just solder the pins onto the board and successfully start up?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Those pins are correct but thats (if I'm not mistaken) The super joy 2, not 3... I think I may have the Same thing lying around. Look at the other side of the board. are there pins above the cart port?

also try hookint it up to a TV and making shure you didnt wire the screen wrong.

Better check the old power/controller/av board to see if everything matches up. Pinouts aren't meant to just be used blindly, just as a helpful guide. Always check the connections. Since you are having trouble, chances are it won't match. Check PoD to see if they have a pinout that matches your NOAC.

It looks like you don't have built in games since there is not a second glop on the board.

That's all I can reccomend. I hope it's not fried or anything.

I purchased this one from Gannon, it's the megajoy 3. I'll try soldering the cart onto the board and see what happens there...or, i can solder the cart in and just make my portable with a nes slot. Hmm...we'll see what happens in the morning. Thanks my good people!!!
