Is there the possibility to get the book as e-book or pdf?
or could it become available to download for those who have bought it?
that would be great cause i don't want to ruin my book with soldering iron or glue.

I think Amazon.com sells all its books in both eBook and physical book versions, but the cover price is the same and you can't download it free if you buy the paperback. 
What you could do is put some saran wrap over the open book to protect it. I don't think it would be OK to make a photocopy of the pages, but I suppose you could send Ben an e-mail asking if you could make a copy of the pages just for your own use. (I don't think he'd mind, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
