Need Help Printing Templates

Post by bicostp »

OK so I'm trying to make the CNC case for the PSonep from the book, but without a CNC router. (I'm printing them out and cutting them from .25" thick plywood)

However, I try to print off the templates they're either too small or too big.

I've tried:
-printing them from Acrobat at several sizes, none worked (I don't have the time to try them all)
-Opening the .pdf file in Photoshop, scaling it, and printing it (THAT didn't work, took FOREVER! The only way it worked a bit was if I selected the front of the case and clicked on "crop", then printed it at 7.some-odd" tall,m but thats a P.I.T.A. to do to all the parts :x)
-Taking a screenshot and printing that from Photoshop (no go.)

So how big do I have to scale the images up? (I'm using the .pdf files because they're the only template files my comp can open.) I know I may have asked this before, but I'm still having trouble with it. And yes I know I have a thread in the book section, but nobody's reading it. ;)

What res was the .pdf file made for? How should I print the templates? Me=confused! I fear that the Illustrator files are the right size and the .pdf files were made using the .pdf virtual printer set to letter size.

HELP DESPERATELY NEEDED!

I'm printing on a HP laserjet 4000 at 600dpi
