super joy 3 cartridge slot help please.

hi i have a super joy 3 and i can for the life of me get a 72 pin cartridge slot to work. can you guys please help me figure out what pin on the SJ3 is pin 1 and direct me to a correct diagram of how to wire it up. any pictures or insight from people that have done it would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.
