how do i get battery onto mobo, and A/V question

i am a newb. had to get that out of the way. i have a playstatin, not a PSOne, and i need to know how to attach the 7.2 Ni-MH battery to the board. also, how do i get the composite a/v out of the board. thanx and all help appreciated.

The PSO pLAYSTATION oRIGINAL. Reguires 8 volts an 3.5 volts sorry

you need a different type of battery. If you need a wiring diagram i can crack open my Pso.

also, you would use a voltage regulator to limit the 8V to 3.5V

ok i found the pins that i need, but for the bateries, i don't really get that because i am new to electronis altogether, how would i attach the regulater and so forth, it would help me better if i kinew what i was doing and how it worked.
p.s. as for the pins, on the bottom of the mobo it looks like :
0 0 0 0 0 0
0 0 0 0 0 0 , would the pins be
1 2 3 4 5 6
7 8 9 0 1 2 or
1 3 5 7 9 1
2 4 6 8 0 2 this is kinda important and i need to know

a voltage regulater like a 7808 will take the voltage froms lets say 10 volts to 8. It has a ground/negative pins and a input and output positive pin. The diagram should be on the back of the box if you buy it at lets say radio shack.

To simplify things you'd get one battery and connect it to two voltage regulators, one outputting 8v the other 3.5v. You connect the voltages to the right pins and ground it shoudl power up. The A/V isnt that big a problem, Gamesx.com shpuld have the pinout. Get a PSOne screen, portable tv, ect and connect the video, audio and ground to the correct places. Dont forget the power the screen.

so i have a positive in and a negitive in and then a positive out, negitive out, and ground, but what would go where, diagram for the mobo, cause i understand that the 7808 has diagram for it on tyhe box, but not for my mobo. i am a NEWB sorry for bbheing sucha pain but i like to learn and i wanna get in to electronics

Negitive and ground are the same thing. Positive goes in negitive comes out.

As for a diagram there isnt much for the PS(X). You'll have to work off the pinout guides at gamesx.com as those are the main focus. Getting power and video working.

i understand positive and negitive, but which battery wire goes where on the 7808, and from the 7808 which pin goes to which pin on the mobo. i need it real simple like because i am stupid or, if you were really nice you could be the first to draw the pictiure, and what about those av pins on the mobo, will no one make a guide to making a psp!! sorry, i had to rant about somethingl. thnx for al the help already givin, and keep it comin so i can finally understand this. peice.

boy, this conversation is going fast. When you say 7808, I assume you mean 7805, which is like this: ( I tried to get the diagram to be perfect, but you get the idea

You connect the positive output to 8v and 3.5v then ground to the ground of the 7808

As for the pinout of the 7808 it has positive(output), positive(unregulated/input) and then you have negitive.

As for a guide for making a PSp, there are two roads you can take. One build one off the info from Ben's first, basicly use it as a referance to go on. Two is wait until Ben's book is released. Thing thing thast going to make it harder for you though is that your being a PSp from a PS(X) well most of us here use PSOnes.
