Exactly what I'm doing to PoD.
This is why it's a good thing to read and understand the TOS :(

Wow...that's a lot of money. If anyone needs help with the websites, let me know. I still have space that isn't used much.

SUE. They're breaching your contract, and if it says they can't in your agreement then you've got groiunds for a lawsuit. Plus, didn't you pay on an annual basis? If so and there's still time left, then you're safe for now I guess

(At least ign the US, check your local laws in the UK)

Well I've got an entire backup of my site on my PC, and I can just go to Blogger for the blog, and my forum is off-site anyways.

(I'll make a backup of the benheck.gptheatre database)

Can you find another web host?
(rat bastard whoever-is-your-host-now)

When I read the TOS last week, there were a few lines saying that there is no guaranteed hosting, and you can't legally take action against them for lack of hosting. Maybe they changed it since you signed up.

Right but wouldn't the contract he agreed to when he signed up still apply until he has to renew his service?

If you don't need unlimitedness...

Hostgator gives 10 gb space and 100 gb bandwidth for $14.95/month USD. I actually use them as my host 8)

Some halfway decent inexpensie web hosts:

<a href="http://www.ipowerweb.com/products/webho ... owerWeb (Ben's site hosted here)

http://www.top10webhosting.com/ (a list of some good ones with comparison)

300 GB monthly bandwidth @ 7.95/mo is pretty good

Freeola unlimited free. Might be dicey though...
