Paints

Post by Stadsport »

Hey everyone, it's been a while.
Anyways I was thinking about painting my DS, since gray is so very bland. I remember hearing a long time ago about this rubberish paint that won't rub off or anything like that. Anyone have any reccomendations, or know where I can get that?
Thanks

already checked the IP, it's unique (though I don't remember what their IP's are, so if it's even slightly off it doesn't show)

Well you could use Testors (any color look in the model section), and then hit it with a lot of gloss (also of the Testors brand, its colorless). Just make sure to pick a color that doesnt show much dirt, or fingerprints (god I hate that). Basically avoid pure white (because it gets dirty), and glossy black (because any imperfection shows and will annoy you till no end). The reason I don't recommend Krylons and stuff like that is because they are made for larger applications. Paints that are used on models look great on handheld gaming units because they are pretty durable (within reason, they aren't drop down the stairs durable, but everyday use durable) and give a great finish. Just take your time and sand between coats. Use the highest possible grits for between gloss coats.
