ground wire won't stick on psone.

Hello,

I'm doing a snesp project. I'm having this issue. Solder won't stick to the ground spot on the psone screen. I don't have any flux or lemon juice at the moment. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I can wait, but I'd really like to get this part done tonight.

Also, I'm doing a custom case, does anyone have any ideas on how I can secure the psone motherboard to the psone screen? Can this be done with hot glue? Thanks

Tin the wire and component (or pad) by apply'n a little solder to them both, then tack them together. If that doesnt work, take a oin, or razor, and GENTLY brush the pad. Sometimes there is a a coat of paint that covers all of the contacts (thats why the board isnt a biege color). By scraping it off you expose the bare copper. It also adds an abrasive area which helps the solder to stick. sometimes it has a hard time sticking to a non-copper flat surface.

Use Standoff Posts, or Machine Screws with the right size nuts to attach the screen to the case. Both are available at radio shack, if you can get to one.

also, check the side of the board, there is another ground (GND 2). You can save yourself some trouble, and just start fresh there.

yeah its hard to get it to stick to the spot in the boo just take a knife and scrape the spot a lot and it should be good

all that stuff would work, but i've heard a lot from you about solder not sticking to stuff so it would really help you with everything to get flux
