Online PSP Stuck Pixel Fixer and Test!

Post by vb_master »

I made an online PSP stuck pixel fixer! Finished testing, unknown effectiveness (did not run long enough) Anyone here have a stuck pixel, but no cable to use the video, this is for you
This might take 8+ hours.
Here's the link Online PSP Pixel Fix. I suppose you could use it on other screens. It is not my fault if this breaks anything or if something bad happens. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I added pixel test screens, so you can check for dead and stuck pixels. Scroll down on my first page to get the link.

is there any way to make that work with my iBook LCD? It has a couple dead pixels on it, nothing too bad, but I'd rather have it gone than there :D

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

all it does is blink different colors witch restores the pixel back and it will work.

that works? I guess they're not totally dead then...(like the blue one on my projector)

that's still neat, though. does it let you specify certain pixels and fix them with a keypress at any time?

edit: wait...online, I get it. a webpage that blinks colors

I heard two interesting rumors:

1. If there are 13 or more dead pixels on your PSP, sony will replace it.
2. If you drop or severly bang your PSP some pixels might die.

hmmm...

both of those are incorrect. sony will not replace your psp unless it was manufactured with a defect, which dead pixels don't count as. Also, the only thing slamming it into a wall will do is get you a mashed-up waste of $250. Dead pixels happen because they get 'stuck' on a single color. Most can be fixed if you flash a bunch of random colors on your screen for a while.
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

Ok, I tried it out for about 30 minutes, but nothing really happened (it is supposed to take 8 hours or more). Here's the link Online PSP Pixel Fix. I suppose you could use it on other screens. It is not my fault if this breaks anything or if something bad happens. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I don't know what the proper color is, dead pixels are black, so they will show up on white (test page 2).

I will get that video, and check.

Wow, that's flashing pretty fast, I'm going to have to modify the script to flash like that!

Ok, I updated the page, so it flashes madly fast (pretty much as fast as the video, I think).
