oddly enough I have a notebook with random diagrams and dimensions in it 
on the first page is a diagram of the nes controller and it's button placement and support holes
so then, it's greatest size (not fully rectangular) is 43mm x 113.5mm
Edit: actually, that's the controller pcb now that I think about it

Awesome with a little modification I think I can fit a hip gear screen inside the NES controller the actual screen is:
Height - 5cm
Width - 6cm
and the controller board is (I have heard there is one with a smaller controller board but I don't have one):
Height - 6.7cm
Width - 8.2cm
So I just need to add about 3cm to the case to get everything inside. If I modify the NES controller, to make it thicker, I think I can fit a NOAC and Hip gear screen in the controller.
