portable dvd screen

i dont think anybody has but has anybody used this perticular dvd player for a screen ill like to know how to use it for my portable

brand is initial
is a 7" tft moniter portable dvd
model: IDM-1731

i dont have any other screen exept for a casio 3" portable tv color that is broke. so if some one could give me any info i would apperciate it.... thanks in advance

If it's what I think it is, a portable DVD player with an attatched screen, then you probably cannot use it.

Unless the DVD player has a videro input jack, which is highly unlikely.

If you're looking for a good, large portable screen, go with a PSone screen. For a 5 inch TFT LCD screen, 30 bucks is a bargain.

I actually saw something good at Sam's Club once, it was a portable DVD player, one player unit and 2 separate screens (and yes, they had AV jacks too). The thing retailed for about $250, and that's pretty good for what they were, especially if they end up taking component. I know it's kinda pricey, but you get a DVD player (that you could have as an accessory for a portable if it doesn't already do so), and 2 widescreens, what else can you ask for? I think they still have itâ€¦

yea thanks i just thought i ask cause im broke plus i dout i could do that led mod for the psone screen (although i do forget what it involves) but yea i dont wana risk breaking screen. but were u get it for 30$ bucks for maybe when i get some cash ?

basiclly was just seeing if it would work.

You should be able to do the LED mod, if you don't, you risk electrocuting yourself on the inverter circuit. The LED mod involves opening the screen assembly (easy), removing the LCD panel (easy), opening the light box (easy), removing the cathode tube (easy), cutting slits for the LEDs (medium), putting the light box back together (medium, though this is a critical point) and putting the rest of the assembly back together without breaking the LCD (fairly easy if you make sure you put the light box back together correctly and didn't make it too thick or such).

yea sounds pretty easy ...still wish i could use that dvd screen but i had a feeling it wouldnt work.
could some one tell me a good website to get a psone screen.

yea im getting a psone screen lol just went to ebgames.com and there it is for 30$ i got a questions my gc gana have to run off of 12-14 volts how should i set it up for the screen i know it supposed to be powered by like 7.5 volts around(i really dont wana fry it)
and usbcd36 is thats all there is to the mod really or were u just simplifing it.
