is there any way to make a normal ps2 controller into a wireless ps2 controller

Yes.

1. Sell regular controller.
2. Buy wireless controller.

the new logitech wireless controllers are awesome. you can get then on ebay for around $25 including shipping. plus they cost $40 at walmart.

The short answer to your question is no. You need extensive knowledge of electronics to do it. Do what they say and buy one, if you don't like the feel, you can swap the case with your regular one (hopefully it'll fit).

u no i never thought of putting the wireless guts in the normal controller i like it thanks a lot

Yeah I remember seeing a wireless transmitter/reciever chipset a while back, and I saw one recently in Microwaves & RF Magazine, but I think they could only handle one channel. And according to this page on pinouts.ru, there's more than one data channel in the PS* controller connector.
