The problem with the GameCube is that modchips are fairly pointless because the main advantage of a modchip is that it allows you to copy your games play them on your system. The GameCube has a complex method of copy protection that requires that you build your own burner/reader for discs. Unlike normal discs that have concentric rings of data beginning in the middle, the GameCube has a spiral of data starting at the outside edge. All of the other features are fairly pointless in my opinion because a version switch can be added easily and there aren't many people doing homebrew for this generation of consoles.

There IS something on that website that interests me which is that there is pro version of the modchip (that allows DVD playback!) and an alternate top case to the GameCube (the bundle containing both is the top seller on that site) that make DVD playback possible. This and the component video cable with the S/PDIF mod would bring the GameCube up to a point where it would be realized as a competitor with the media functions of the PS2 and Xbox (though I like it even without the extra features), plus it already has the best games! I shall begin saving!
