Back to the future style CD player

Post by bioniclebert »

Thats under construction. I gave my Bro. my tools, parts and things for a week, So this is going to be tough.
Basically, im making it as small as possible, and leaving the disc exposed, so I can see What im listening to.(as if I dont know already  )
Having a bit of trouble though. You see, I have given him my soldering iron for the week. The switch to detect the lid being open is broken off, just the pins are exposed. I know a quick bit of solder would fix it, but its going to be hard otherwise.
I also gave him my battery packs, and this one In the player is a piece of trash. It works 40% of the time, and has to have bits of metal inbetween the spring and the battery to make it work.
Oh, and did I mention it was broken when I opened it?

If this thing could get Done without any of my tools or parts, I would be glad. Otherwise, I'd have to hold all of the parts together to get it working every time I wanted to use it....

Currently works when you hold a piece of metal between the lid closing switch leads, hold the battery in place, and press the play button.
