Got my portable ingredients Now what to do.

I got my psone and screen today for $49.99 and Im wonderning what portable I should make psonep n64p or a nesp Im probably gonna make a psone or a nes cause I dont really play n64 and I never had a nes so maybe that would be cool to make one. What do you guys think? which one should I make.

If you are making your first portable, I've been told it's best to start with something simpler than an N64. The boards are easy to fry and the GameBit screws are annoying. Plus, relocating the cartridge slot is difficult and your first attempt usually kills the whole system. I've messed around inside NESs many times and they are very simple. I'd start there, if you can find a cheap one that doesn't appear to work (screen flashes random color when you turn it on). Ben's guide is very good, so if you don't already own it, go buy one!

Dude if I made a nesp I wouldn't make it out of and actual nes I would make it from a noac and I could probably handle a n64 or psone I did take electronics as my shop in school until I realized my teacher totaly sucked and switched to automechanics.[/quote]

Aw, come on! The PSOne portables are so much harder than the hand-built NES. For the hand built one, wellâ€¦everything is difficult about that! In the CNC one, you have to solder 32 very tiny connections to make the CD drive work. Plus, they have more buttons and tinier connections.

so you have 1 screen and 2 systems...how about you make both but make the screen removable so you can use it on either one

I'll tell you the PSone is easier then the NES. All the real trouble is packaging the system so you have a good setup for the CD to be positioned.

If you dont have Ben's book yet go to your local book store that has it. Read it in the store buy it I dont care. The thing I'm getting at is you read about the modifications needed to get the NES and PSone working the PSone is easier.

I'd make a PSp, since it's easier than you'd think, from what I've heard. Most importantly, it seems like that's what you have used most in the past, so it shows you like the system at least a little. Because you have games for it, and like it, you'll probably play it more, which is what really matters
