if i put hot glue over the leads on the cart slot will it fry my snes

ok can someone please give me another idea as to why my snes stopped working once i put the hot glue on it just didnt play carts anymore any other ideas as to its mysterious hatred of me

Dont know maybe one of the contacts came loose as you were gluing them. Otherwise you might just have bad karma.

maybe i'll run my soldering iron over eac of the contacts see if that'll get the solder flowin'

yeah thats the first thing i did when it stopped funny thing is this thing has been running fine for weeks then one stupid thing
when i plug it in to the t-v with the RCA outputs i added this morning the psone screen does get an odd line at the bottom

sweet jesus im back in busness hahahahah i thoiught i was a goner for a second but went back and checked everything fiddled with the pins and bam there goes DK with his boombox anyway that was a close one thanks for the quick responses guys

When ever you are putting hot glue on the board, make sure you don't touch anything with the tip of the gun.

Ah yes, the greatest secret of electronics. When it doesn't work, open it up and fiddle a bit. It solves a surprising number of problems.

Disclaimer: Do NOT try this on the N64. That thing is very static sensitive.

static isn't the only thing that can fry it, you could [keybaord not working, following key not working: abcdefghijkl*nopqrstuvwxyz, i'll replace that letter with *] bu*p the heatsink or so*ething and it could fry

Soo, let me get this straight, if you bump the heatsink, it will automatically stop drawing heat away from the processor and the thing will die?
