I cant find my book.

. Now I must rely on begging to my virtual peers,

. Can you guys help me, I gotta make this by the end of July, or my tech teacher wont promote me. I have all I need, I cant get the damn SNES open, and I forgot it from the book. Bicostp, Lucretius, Soundwave, Nos_Silved, Daguuy, S Q U E E ! !; insult me if you must, but pity me in providing me the info. Moderators, please halt from 'closerizing' until the q is answered.

Get a special 4.5 MM inverse Torx security bit (a.k.a. Nintendo Screwdriver) from an eBay store.

suggestions in a more 'unofficial' way to open it. I like the pen idea, but how do you do it.

Through the whole SNES into a massive bonfire.

After the plastic has melted away, thrust your arm into the flames and retrieve what little remains of the mobo still exist.

Cry.

The Nintendo Screwdriver method also works.

Just put the tip of a lighter to the pen you want to use, then quickly thrust it into the screw hole, wait for it to harden, and open!

ok; so the thing is gooey when you hold it to the lighter, auto mold into the screw.

get a pen (the kind with hard plastic that cracks instead of bending when you bend it) and a candle. light the candle. take the ink out of the pen so you only have the casing. hold the end over the fire 'till it melts or gets really soft. if the tip spread out, roll it on something to make it narrower so it will snuggly fit on the screw head. jam it on the screw and hold it tightly on it for a while to give it a chance to stick to it and harden. when it gets a good grip on the screw, carefully turn it counter-clockwise while putting pressure on it. once the screw loosens, you can stop puting much pressure on it and just finish unscrewing it like a normal screw. that's how i did it and it worked great. you'll have to re-melt the pen tip for each screw or else it won't stick

I have some needle nose pliers that I sharpened so I can open up anything with Nintendo screws!

Take a drill and drill away the plastic around the screw heads.

If the screws aren't too deep, you can probably take a file or a dremel and make a flathead slot in thge screw head.

Or take a carbide or diamond-tipped drill bit and drill the head off and pull HARD.

You asked the same question two days ago in forum 42 and many responses were given, I hate to be mean but it doesn't look like you made an attempt to read half of the responses or use the search bar either because I just searched Nintendo Screws and found at least a dozen relevant topics. Also you were being very lazy by saying...

an easier way would be to get a drill and take off the head, but don't drill in so far you break the motherboard.

stick a screwdriver inb the corners of the plastic and break off that plastic until you can see the screw post then breakthe screwposts with big pliers

What the hell? Nobody ever mentions my method!

This is the best cheap way too take it apart without damaging the case:

Heat up the screw with your soldering iron till the plastic around the screw melts, then pull it out with needle nose pliers
