Kevin Horten's Atari 5200

I was browsing through his site and saw his 5200. Two things tha he mentioned caught my eye. That the 5200 was actually pretty small inside and that he built his own with certain chips. Is the board that much smaller. Also how hard is it to attach the chips on your own pcb board and make it work as a 5200?

Well from how his 2600 was set up it doesnt look too hard. Just put the pins through the holes and solder then to the board. Setting it up so you have leads correctly going were you want them... either plan that out or do as he did and use wires (though it looks like a thickit or vines), its what I'd prefer to may own suprise.
