Case Idea

Post by elliott »

I don't know if any one has thought of this, but I was thinking you could use a old Atari Lynx case to make some of the smaller portables (NOAC,AOAC,GOAC). They are huge and really cheap for a non-working factory reject on ebay. Look for callistoo on ebay they always have a ton of them for 9.99 plus shipping. From what I see you can't use the screen but the controls are on thier own flex-circuit so they would be easy to hack. They have a built in battery compartment for 6 AA batteries.

sounds like a good idea but some people have already done something like that with Gameboy cases and gamegear cases

I think they are the perfect candidate to stuff a Flasback 2.0 into when they come out. I'm working on a NOAC in a GBO right now with a pocket TV screen, and I know those have been done before. I have never seen anything done with a Lynx, and since you can get a non-working one cheap, you don't have to ruin a working one. They are huge inside it would be possible to fit a GOAC and a NOAC inside one very easily. I don't know how small the flashback 2.0 internals will be, but they should fit also.
