id like to make a computer that is dedicated to emulation and completely contolled via a joypad, but theres somthign that bothers me.
id like the computer to feel like its a console, but when selcting the roms your still using windows.
i want a custom menu system to select the system and then then roms i want to play, that is all controlled via the joypad.
i know you can do all this within the emulators, but i want a master menu system that controls them all and listes the games under each system.
also it would be good if loaded right after the boot without windows interferring.
has this been done, and if not, what is the best way of going about this?
games menu

You could rename explorer.exe something else. Then program a simple menu thing, and name it explorer.exe. Then it will load on startup instead of the normal Windows interface. As for actually making the menu, it could easily be done with QuickBasic or maybe even a batch file.
