Hi! I have a few things I'd like to get services on. None of which should be expensive or time consuming. At least not remotely near the kinds of incredible work various users here do.
But what I want involves European-style RGB and I'm located in USA. Not an easy to find combination...
Let me run down my to-do list on that front. I'm by no means saying I'll get everything done at once, though that will save on postage.
1: RGB mod for a US N64.
2: RGB mod for a PAL Master System 2. Modded to NTSC so games will play at proper 60hz speed without letterboxing would also be quite nice, perhaps even an ENG/JPN switch if SMS2 is capable of that.
3: Examine my Sega Saturn cable to try and make it output RGB rather than composite from a Japan model system. Not quite sure of its cause. I think I heard some cables don't use the right RGB signaling voltage or something. A resistor inside the cable IIRC can be to blame at times.
4: Examine my Sega Genesis 2 cable to try and find out why it produces faint vertical jailbars. Maybe it uses composite sync and needs modding to c-sync?
If a Sega Genesis 1 cable also needs a similar fix (I don't currently own a model 1 system to check), I can send that cable in too.
BTW, does the SNES redesign have those diagonal interference bars over RGB like many model 1 units do? I might look into buying one to get some mods added on later if the picture quality is really better.
Oh and make sure you confirm the cart slot works right on that SMS2. I'll be very unhappy if my known working games have difficulty loading up. Right now the system is PAL-RF-only like most SMS2s are, making it useless for me.
