Hey guys, this is METC. I'm new to the modding scene as well as these forums, but I'm not new to the legacy of portable consoles mods that you guys have done. I am very impressed with all of you and excited that I can announce the beginnings of my own project,

The SCube*!!!!!

I've already begun taking apart the TFT LCD I plan on using, and I intend to store all the components inside an old portable dvd drive shell.

These are preliminary concept sketches. This is the front.

This is the back.

This is the front of the LCD I am taking apart. It is a 7" Widescreen LCD.

This is the board and the back of the inside. Note how I have extracted the DVD drive so I can hopefully place the GameCube's DD there.

This is when you eject a disc. The LCD is the front panel, and the back part is the drive itself. I believe this will leave a good effect for the user, as well as provide a compact design.

My Goals
Green is completion, Red is in progress, and Black is on the queue for completion

Dismantle the Gamecube
Trim the mobo
Dismantle LCD
TRACE EVERYTHING
Come up with more goals
