gamer2- got adobe premiere/elements? /then you can exzport a video file as a series of images, then import them into a GIF animator. (I like using ImageReady.)

You can export each frame of the video into a jpeg, and then put the frames into a GIF.

Here's an example:

Download Windows Movie Maker or some other video editor.

(I use Adobe Premiere and/or QuickTime Pro.)

Use Windows Movie Maker to get the frames, then make a GIF with the frames you take.

The gimp can also make animated gifs. Just add a layer for each frame and when you hit save as gif you have the option of makeing it animated.
