Hmm...Maybe it would help if I showed the bottom of the case
Sorry, I couldnt resist!

Its one of those Game Pro 200+ things. I put it inside an altoids case
It only took two days to make (would have been one but the paint had to dry). All the parts (except the NES D-pad) to make it can be bought at Radio Shack
Here are the insides:

I would reccomned this project for anybody who has never made a portable before. Its easy, and its cheap so if you mess up its no big deal. If anybodys interested in doing this I have pinouts

Okay so the Game Pro 200, and the D-pad, and the Altoids case, can't be found at radio Shack. I should have said all the electrical parts
I don't know where to get those Game Pro things anymore. They used to be ALL over the place, everywhere you looked. Nowadays I don't know where you would get one.

yeah it cost about $10, although I already had all the stuff and I wasnt using it so it cost me $0 new dollars
I think it has tetris somewhere. Its annoying.... you have to sort through and find the games by letter and number
Its got frogger, centipede, a tank game, and all the other classic rip offs.
heres a pic without my fat thumbs covering the entire case
lol

EDIT: I guess they still sell it: www.tv-showroom.com/html/GamePro200.htm

Thats actually pretty cool. You could really play it anywhere, cause it easily fits in your pocket, and some people would actually think its just altoids if you got caught playing it in school

A radio? Hey that would be fun to make. Do you have any pics?Undisclosed wrote:how did you make the case look like that, it looks like it forms right to it. you know? well anyway i think that that is awesome. I love altoids case, ive made a pc mouse and a radio into one. this is a great third project.
First I rough cut everything I was going to use (NES D-pad, Game Pro holder), then I just cut out holes in the altoids case for all the stuff to go. After everything fit, I fine cut everything and sanded the edges. As seen here:

I took of the Altoids lid and then superglued all the stuff in place.

another shot

Then I drilled holes for the buttons & switches (volume, power, and start) and the audio jack. After that I spray painted it white. Then I just reassembled it, wired everthing, stuck the battery pack on with adhesive foam, tested it (it worked, YES!), then finally hot glued everything down.
Easy, yes?
