Anyone know whats wrong with this TV?

There's a pretty cheap 55" projection HDTV in my area from craigslist, but it has this wrong with it:


I guess it shows double image or something like that. I'll probably call for more info when it's not so late.

edit: bad convergence chip maybe?

Convergence amps, probably STK series

Simple fix, the hard part is to prevent it happening again (usually due to heat)

When you go and buy the convergence chips, also get thermal paste, and resistors for the surrounding circuits. they usually burn about the same time. Look up the tv model number and the words "convergence chip" and you'll find work logs and part numbers/values. I did the same thing. Sadly, my 51" doesnt work still....I really was looking forward to plugging my Neo Geo up to it!
