Power Supplies...

Hi guys, I'm dave, a long time reader, but I just registered! Yay!

So I'm working on a portable dreamcast, but I'm confused on the power supply...

The dreamcast contains a 120v to 3.3v, 5v, and 12v psu. I know I cant use that (AC, etc) and I know I can use a "Pico PSU" for a computer, but I don't know where to get one or which one to get. I'd like to use a couple of lithium (AA size) 3.7v cells, in an arrangement like the attachment

I would really appreciate it if you guys could point me in the right direction! Thanks guys!

Supposedly you can run the 12V line on the dreamcast with the 7.5V

But in any case a pico psu has an input of 12V it then converts it to all the appropriate voltages necessary (except 7.5 which you might need for a psone lcd screen)

But since the 12V isn't necessary you can do it this way.

Look in the N64 forums for the regulator used to get the 3.3V and just use a simple regulator from radioshack to get 5V http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2062599" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
