Emulator portable?

Is there a way that i can use certain parts of a computer and a floppy drive
to just use for an emulator?

you would need a mobo, floppy, ram but yes it would be possible

Cool i just want to use the floppys to hold the roms so i can just stick one in and it will start up though how could i make that work?

With floppies, the only emulators you could use would be like NES and maybe SNES, because you would need to put the emulators on a bootdisk, along with the ROMs. Don't forget that you would also need a video card.

look if you can get a realy tiny mobo (check off the shelf) you could thenjam a laptop drive and a flash device of some kind and you would have your self a freaking nice EMUplayer/Pcp

you can hook up an ishuffle to it as a hard drive to store the roms and the emulators

I think that you need an IDE-USB adaptor to get a USB device to boot.

There are a few motherboards that can boot directly from USB devices, but none of the small ones (me thinks).

Here is a Mini ITX which, new, is about $100. How small is it? This page has a picture of it next to a soda can. It is fanless too.

But compact flash cards are expensive but i could just buy a hard drive from D.I. for like 4 dollers all right
