PSone+PSone screen+Battery hookup

Can i wire in my battery like this

*word clarification*

With the PSone screen attached to the back of a PSone can i hook up the battery through a 7808 and then to the PSone screen?

What Volt Batery are you useing? If your planing on useing a9.6V just get a 7.2V. It works just as welll as a 9.6 but you don't need a regulator.

when i used a 7.2 Ni-Cd it fried my psone and the wires melted threw their shielding i would reccomend at least using a 7808 regulator so you keep the psone and screen safe

that's wierd, someone probably wrote "7.2v" on a 1,000,000v battery

Hmmm, I'm useing a 7.2 2000mAh on my PSOnep and its been working great for a week now with no sign of overheating or melting crap. Ive played it till its compleetly drained and it never gets hot.

No regulator. Just fed it strait into the plug in the back of the PSOne.

definitly cursed battery cause that batt also almost fried my screen on my snes it just blew my regulator

if you want to power the psone/screen with a battery, all you have to do is wire a battery Directly to the PSOne. just take the dc supply plug and connect it to the battery. the psone has the 7805 regulator in it which needs at least 7 volts but can take up to 32, although the reccomended max is 24. your battery must have at least 2000 milliAmps to properly run this setup. ive done this with my PSOne and it works just fine. hope this helps.
