pixel (or block's) burned out

Post by resecnded x »

i got an hdtv and its worked for me for............i forget; after a while, i see a spot on my tv, and further inspection looks like that something burned out some pixel's and even though i can ignore it, with tv shows that have bright colors and the like, i somehow focus on that

is there anyway i can get it fixed somehow, or is the general suggestion to either ignore it, or get some tv master's to fix it

help is appreciated; reply soon

It could be a stuck pixel. Watch a few hours of action movies (or something else with a lot of movement in that area) and it should go away if so. Otherwise, it's a panel defect, and you'd have to replace the entire panel to fix it (cost almost as much as a new TV).

BIG UPDATE!!!!!!!

after a while, the pixel's didn't go back to normal, but after i started lightly knocking on the inactive part of the screen (the pixel's), the pixel's started to regain their color bit by bit

if my method works, that annoying part of the screen will be gone in a while
