MidiNes compatibility

Post by cpt.credible »

I play live concerts with the MIDInes among my machinery, i use the glitched out visuals it generates as a backdrop (or rather in my face drop) when i play and i really like it... a lot. :) But when flying abroad to play gigs the NES is a large contributor to the size of my baggage. So i want to use my midines cartridge with a smaller unit. i'm not too bothered about the sound quality as i am mainly interested in using it to provide a projector with rinced out ming mangling glitch synced to midi. and i want to get it as small as possible.

Does anybody know what works and what doesnt? super joystick? FC portable? i heard somewhere that the FC portable 2 doesnt wurk?

plz2 r hlp me?

this is me live (daytime tho so the midines is on a tv)

Not sure... you'd just have to buy them and try them I guess...

im going to say that you need original hardware for it to work. and your stuff is pretty cool, reminds me of The Flashbulb or Squarepusher. youre also a spaz behind that table ;)

also: theramin, drumbot, and crochet wire wraps.....you read MAKE dont you...

ok, i found this

anybody know where i can get hold of that handheld? i also read here http://ns2.opencollective.cc/forums/vie ... pid=328361" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; somebody says it does not work with FC mobile II so it seems i need the old FC mobile.

p.s. I live in norway, and need to ship it here :)

p.p.s. the crochet cables where my girlfriends idea 7 years ago when we had a band together. guess it was too good an idea for noone else to have had it.

My vocals midi controller:

New Robot (the old one, not got round to filming the new improved one with red LED blinking eyes and "laser" drumsticks):
