Snes Controller direct wiring

Snes Controller direct wiring
I am curious if I can just wire directly to the pads on the snes controller. I will be using a bluetooth keyboard that will be going inside the controller. I know I can wire to the traces but, I am not sure how much I should remove to expose the traces. Also would I be able to just wire straight to the chip inside the controller? Lots of info obviously needed here. Sorry. haha

Will I need to power the snes controller portion for it to send the signals to the blue tooth keyboard?

I could help answer some of your questions, but what are you doing all this for? Are you wanting to use the snes controller to play games on the computer or what?
