Which Controller has the smallest Board

Post by hidiosoman »

I'm about to buy a 3rd party controller for use in my portable and I am wondering which controller has the smallest board or is the easiest to trim down.

Also, can I just lop off that top part for the memory and rumble pak without much rewiring? Because I'm not gonna use any accessories with it.

EDIT: I don't want Hori Mini Pads.

Ha I was just going to post a hori mini pad! Some controllers dont have analog sticks or dpads. Are you willing to sacrifice completeness over size?

Every 3rd Party pad except for the Hori are all almost exactly the same size. The Hori is about half that size.

It can be a huge amount smaller than it is at the moment. for example:

Wow, did you have to relocate any resistors/caps(?) for that job?
Feel like posting a mini guide :3

Actually that picture should be credited to Ben. He said that he just traced the buttons back to the IC and had to reconnect a couple of things like vcc and ground.
