Gameboy Pocket Backlight issues

I recently got a backlight kit from nonfinite and installed it in my gameboy pocket... The light works great and I can hear the game playing in the background, but no picture... i played with the contrast, but nothings working. Any suggestions?

Where is the light getting its power from. you maybe draining power from the wrong place.

did you put the polarized film layer on, without it you wont see anything; another thing is you could have messed up the lcd screen somehow
