Charging off a 9V won't do much. Odds are that your MP3 player runs off 1.5V, 3V or 5V, so unless it has a built in regulator, you are at risk of overcharging the battery and killing some parts of the board. A 9V is also extremely low capacity, so you won't even get close to charging the battery completely.

BTW: Does that even charge the battery or does it just power the MP3 player?

it charges it
and the ac charger it has 5v out put so i hook a 9v to a 7805 and an ac adapter an theres a charger

OK, I didn't see the 7805 there. I still say that you are better off using some AAs, because most 9V are under 1Ah.
