which is a very helpful resource, Buuuuut I wanna power this with something a little cheaper. What is a cheaper alternative and what would power it for longer then 2 hours?

Those guys really annoy me.
Buying the batteries with PCB and all separately can be less expensive than buying a new DVD player for $70, and you can be sure to get ones with a higher capacity, but I think 30 to 40 dollars or more is about average for getting rechargable Li-Poly's, which is what they used in that video and what most people here use.

Thank You, I really want to be able to stretch my money since I am only 15
Although I would have to make my own charger unit so I doesn't overheat

Re: Powering the n64
I don't think making your own charger unit (either PCB or cable) would be a good idea if you value things not exploding.
