NES MIDI Maker
Im looking for a tool that will extract the NSF tracks from game roms and convert them into MIDI. I wanna edit the types of instruments to be used too. I had a tool for win9x a year ago, but I seem to have lost it. Anyone know of somethng? Im not looking for a NSF Player. Im looking for either a NFS Ripper so i can MAKE NSF files, ot something that will rip into MIDI right from the rom.
You can find an nsf of pretty much any game you want, if you look hard enough. Is there a reason you need to rip it from the rom yourself? I don't think there's a program that can do what you want, but this is the closest you'll probably get:

extracting NSFs can be very hard without complete knowledge of how to.

You have to know where all the music data is, and it's never in the same place twice. Even a simple game like SMB has its music data buried in there.

I have had a prorgam that accepts NES files and converts them into MIDI... I just dont remember what it was called. I have a phone that accepts MIDI ringtones, but the instrument tracks are a little off (lol and my rabbit just fell off the couch HA HAH!) so I want to edit them myself.
That and I have an idea for "remixing" NES Game Music that I would liek to try in the process. I Would just rather get the NSF Tracks from the rom itself instead of a website.
