im making a quick radica portable and i noticed its options for power are 4 batteries or a 6v adaptor..

I wanted to use my 7.2v minicar battery with it.. would that overload something like that (im not thinking about a screen, ignoring that for now)? would i need a regulator? would it be ok or do you think i should just still with using batteries..??
