Ever see those LCD Picture Frames? No? Google it and you will understand. I wanna' make one. Im not a 'tard when it comes to electronics, computers, and building stuff. I just dont know where to start. Im going to need some form of memory (Im thinking SmartMedia Cards since i have one, and they are easy to interface. But buiilt in FlashRAM will do as well). I will need something that can process JPEG images, then output to composite screen. Im thinking either use a PSOne screen, or a Hip gear 2.5 inch one.
Any suggestions? Or would it be cheaper to just buy one.

I saw one of those in Popular Science once. The guy just hacked a laptop so the screen was facing the opposite way (tablet-pc style). I think he put 802.11b wireless LAN on it so he could put new pix on it. 
You could do that, or maybe a PSone screen with a long wire running to a PC. But the laptop method gives you a bigger screen. I'd just buy a cheapo off of eBay. Pretty much any Pentium 2 machine can decompress JPEGs at acceptable speeds.

Thanks for the input, but honestly, it doesnt take a jenius (intended) to put a monitor in a frame and run cables. Or re-werk a laptop. I was thinking more of "Put in memory card and bress a button or 2" kind of thing. I see LCD Pictureframes for abut $70. I have Xbox Media Center, and PS2 Media player, and my DVD Player supports Kodak CDs. My TiVo also has the ability to view pics through network. If i wanted a computer like soloution, i could use my consoles, TiVo, Laptop, Or PC thats right next to my entertainment center.
