I'm looking for an n64 emulator portable. with full n64 pad with original buttons. At least a 5" a internal 250gb+ and with media player. Something with a good battery. The actual thing can be either a modded psp or something. But must have at the n64 gamepad. If it can be done with a psp better to play other mods. I would want if possible a 2TB hard drive. Also must have a mini usb output so I may connect and flash files from pc. I need it to be pocket sized maybe not gameboy micro size but enough to fit in a pocket even bulky I don't care. I'd prefer for it to be a psp so I can browse internet if so I would want it modded with a big signal for internet. Maybe. A dlink or something if possible. let me know if interested in this. (for using a psp prefered wanted... A psp-2000 has TV output so a bigger screen can be placed. 4"-7") so basically I want a modded psp hooked up to a 2TB hdd and a custom gamepad maybe xbox one? And an extended internet signal(wanted not necessary)

I am also looking for a n64p something pocketsized that can hold the game in it without having the game stick out. I want it to have all buttons almost all originals and a good analog. Av out and controller ports. Good run time 2-5 hours.

Looking for a n64 flash cart will pay high to work in micro sdxc, sdxc, cf, or any other memory that has at least 64gb+ if it can run on a hdd even better if it needs a modded 64 then I'd will pay for a modded one.

So, you want it to have a 5" screen, but be able to fit in your pocket. On top of that you want a 2TB hard drive. Why on Earth would you need that much space? N64 ROMs aren't any bigger than 64 MB in my experience, often they're smaller. And really, is N64 emulation even good enough on the PSP for this to be worth it?

Idk, seems to me like you need to think this through a little bit more. Like I kinda like the general gist of the idea, PSP with bigger screen and more internal memory, but it seems like you need to figure out what you want a little more.

And you should know that this will cost you, I can't really say how much, but it would not be cheap.

Well this idea just came from me wanting a n64p and wanted to see if it was possible to mod like a wii to play backups but as I looked into it I see its not possible. Or at least extremely difficult. I want an n64p pocket sized. Yet I do not want to carry around a huge pack of games. With psp it can be smaller and have
The games digitally. as for memory I want a big memory on psp since it has more capabilities music video and such. Anyways memory would be a laptop hdd with around 250gb+

1-if you SERIOUSLY want this done, then you'd be looking to fork out $500+
2-there is no gray area with n64 emulation: wii emulation of n64 is good, pc emulation is ok bordering on crap, psp emulation is crap. emulation is never gonna be the original game experience (i am a harsh critic, softly from being an avid smash64 player)
3-psp 250GB hard drive...hard drive...just no....PSP 64GB memory card is possible however
4-pocket sized n64p hasnt been done yet*

Best solution to something like this would be an EPIC wii portable for many reasons, however this would DEFINITLEY not be pocket sized, and would be round the size or bigger than the n64 if you wanted decent battery life.
why the wii:
can use n64 gamepad without any mods
can emulate many systems well
usb support means the harddrive part is easy

Pm'ed i want it as small as possible but with good battery... anyways whats the smallest an n64p can be made. i need one smallest as possible to be done anyone up for tryig it. yes i do mean it to bulk in pocket like psp but still fit in it. let me know if anyone can do this. also i decided against psp. (no offense to sony fans but i dont like playstation i prefer microsoft and nintendo) anyways i believe that up to now n64 was the best console ever made. anyways anyone know exactly how many n64 games were ever made and maybe a list of them? sorry for getting off topic here but what is a 64dd i looked all around and cant find exactly what it is. i know it costs over 1000 but why? isnt it just a huge game console with only 9 released games that can not work without a n64? what is so special about it. i mean i can see why it nevere sold but can someone please clear that up for me? back to topic who dares to do n64p pocketsized. can n64 do system links like in xbox. you know for multiplayer to havce your own screen? or can you use 2 tvs to have your own screen or is it only split screen?

The 64DD was this add on released only in Japan that had like extra memory and crap and allowed for bigger games. It failed miserably and never made its way over here.

There have been some surprising small N64ps around, nothing as small as a PSP, nothing even close. That's not even really physically possible, I mean, I always believe in never saying never, but I'm about 99% certain there will never be a N64p that small.

Anyways in looking for an n64p. On a regular n64 can one play multiplayer without using the same screen? so the screen isn't screen split. As in system link or connecting n64 to 2 TVs or some adapter of something?

And to the best of my knowledge (which is usually pretty good with stuff like this) there is no way to play multiplayer without split screen on N64.

From what I gathered, you want a small form-factor PC with N64 controls that works well as an emulator?

Your best bet would be to just take an ASUS EEE PC and buy a USB to N64 controller adapter. If you wanted to modify the laptop, there are plenty of guides available online to disassembling the thing. I'm positive you could modify the screen so it can rotate & sit flat when folded down.

If you wanted the EEE PC modded into a case so it houses the N64 controller, that should be too big of an issue either.

The best emulator out right now is Project 64 1.7 beta - I can get you a copy if you need it.

People have already told you a few little...obstacles with this, but I'll throw in a few more:

1) 2TB Hard Drives are rare in computers. In fact, I don't know of any computer that has a 1TB hard drive, etc etc. Plus, what in the world could you possibly need 2TB for? Besides maybe storing every single N64 game ever 30 times over?
2) Emulation on PC is good. Very good, actually. Emulation on PSP is only barely reaching playable levels in a small handful of games. Daedalus x64 or whatever the emulator is is still in Alpha stages and will not be much more than that for a while.
3) A custom gamepad on a PSP is very doable. That's not a problem for the most part. But something like that will most likely not fit in your pocket unless you have some kind of super, ultra cargo pants.
4) The thing about the monstrous cargo pants applies to the N64 thing, too. The smallest ones right now are the 64 Boy and the TriSixtyFource. The latter does fit in your pocket (again, cargo pants or similar...) but the game does stick out. That makes it seem as though the best alternative is a small carrying case for games/system?


I may be way off with some of this, but I didn't really think over much of it before pouring out words

Anyway, your very best bet for that stuff is to get a PSP-1000 and the biggest memory stick you can find. You can put Daedalus and some games on there. Super Mario 64 runs fairly well in low-demand areas as does Mario Kart 64. I'm sure you can figure out other kinds of games and options to get from that.

plenty of pc's are now coming in with 1tb plus, i work part time in retail and our pc's are usually 3-6 months behind release, and already we've seen heaps (desktops and laptops of the higher end) with a 1tb plus hard drive.

and theres always an option to get the n64 flash cart, or wait for marshallh's

What do you find ridiculous. And hell why not. Can whoever makes this for me add a small sword and modded genie lamp sword must be able to turn full size and burst into flames without burning my hands. As for a wiip I don't want a laptop but maybe a tablet pc type design... the n64p must fold up like Mancala... Jk. still looking for someone to take my commission and now looking for an inverted hex screwdriver the Nintendo one with the inverted hex used in n64 snes and more. I know these are rare but someone must have one and ill pay high for one. I can't waste anymore time with melting pens which doesn't work with the games so I prefer to just buy one high to save time and money of buying 1000 pens a week. Also I a. New at modding so I don't have tools needed can someone list a complete list of tools ill need and if selling let me know. dremels soldering guns irons whatever and everything I need for modding... on wii and psp I would place every game evr made for wii all nes-wii games on psp I'm not sure about that anymore

I understand your idea with the asus but I don't want to buy a laptop connect a usb controller and play roms. First of all on a laptop it lags way too much. only some games work there's viruses and well just no. What's a flash cart? Who's making one send me a link to his thread?
