My led modded LG L1710S LCD screen

originally I got the unit broken from a friend, I removed all the damaged PCBs and saved the basic (LCD controller and LCD matrix)

I had to built a new power suply and build a completly new backlight system, the new one is based on white leds, the new power suply is smaller, and needs lower energy to work, the entire unit is now powered on 12 volts, it going now to a custom regulators wich give 5 volts to the LCD controller board, and 8 volts to the leds and resistors.

I'm planning using this modded low consumition screen to do some portable project like a WII portable wii.

It needs more LED's. Just dont put them at the bottom (Unless I am wrong and you have more - then maybe it is the video )

well. the video may show it a little dark, I found the screen pretty bright while looking from the top side, it is like some old laptops now, it have a optimal angle to view it

yep, I also have a little more leds, but there was some delicated traces at the top part, so I added most of the white leds at the bottom, I had to drill the metal, and I made them fit in there.

I also was thinking on "sand" the leds, I heard that them blur better, I also did some tests by myself and looks nice, I may improve the screen in the following days.
