Interest/Price Check: Bricked PS3 60gb

My little brother has a PS3 60gb that was a GameStop refurb unit. It doesn't power on anymore and so he was thinking about trying to sell it for parts. System only, what would interested parties be interested in paying for it?

i'm going to hazard a guess here and say nothing happens. or YLOD maybe

Triton is correct, nothing at all happens when you power it up. We opened it up and looked at the power supply but nothing looked fried or out of the ordinary (to our untrained eyes). We think it may be something as simple as a power supply swap, but we're not sure. It happened while he was playing Uncharted 2, he would play for a bit and the system would completely turn off, no power at all. A couple flips of the power switch and it would turn back on and play again, rinse* and repeat and you have our current situation.


* - no rinsing actually took place, for those unfamiliar with the phrase.
