PSOne Screen noise

I currently have the official psone mobile screen. The problem is whenever I plug my speakers or headphones in I can hear the cd spinning in the background? It's pretty loud and annoying. But it's fine when I play it with the PSone Screen's built in speaker. Is this normal?
